  • can do tues day??
il be bringin my cam out to get some shots, this had inspired me again!

  • Cool, I'll be free depending on what time N3lson and I meet, PMing you my number

  • @ Nelson, Tuesday looks like great weather, any good, meet same place as last time, 12.30?

Yeah sounds good. Tuesday 12.30 it is.

  • perfect

  • Didn't have enough film to bracket the shots. I really wanted a shallow depth of field but alas i didn't have the right setup.

  • You can do a sort of faux-shallow DOF effect by zooming in fully and standing well back.

Whatever is behind the subject gets enlarged and looks fuzzy because its so big in relation to the subject (zooming sort of kills perspective). So the angle of the buidlings/kerbs would look a lot straighter, but they will be bigger so look fuzzier and flatter. This can give the foreground subject some "pop" a bit like shallow DOF.

  • Yeah I know but you can't do that with a mamiya c3, just need a different lens. It's not really designed for street photography especially when your standing in the street.
If i can get hold of a nice 55mm sekor i'll be set.

  • ^^^ nice

  • Good work guys - loving it.

  • The light in the second one is lovely.

The light is nice, but isn't that large and cumbersome package meant to be en route somewhere? And if its a pizza, all the topping will have slid off.

Right outside the drop, they never noticed the delivery was postponed by sixty seconds...

  • Cheers for that Void, I've now got the deck for new ride!

  • We still on for tomorrow afternoon? I'm good rain or shine...

  • Yeah, we should be at the bike foundry from about 2:30 til 3. I'll text you if that changes

  • Hey Void, how about near sprockets someday this week (not wednesday).

I was overthinking it, the cobbly bit near the arch should be fine.

  • word!!

    I love it down there.

I'm working Thurs/Fri couriering, pretty easy to nip off and do this - or Saturday, I can take a break from OYB for a bit, the weather forecast for Saturday looks super-sunny.

Your choice, text me whenever, just give me an hour heads up if it's on Thurs/Fri.

  • More pics on my Flickr, looking good to start a dedicated picture blog quite soon.

Just to reiterate, I'm up for whatever, doesn't have to be generic... and I'm happy to take as many pics as you like, of as many bikes as you may have and give you a copy of the whole lot on a disc.

  • Two more up from Calthorpe tonight, was a few others but the pics weren't good enough, can retake at Sunday polo if that's ok...

  • Four more today, thanks guys...

Also a few extras on my main page, just click my name on the set page.

Got some planned this weekend, maybe a couple while I'm in London Monday too.

  • wondering if any one has any action photos of people riding preferably fixed gear/single speed? would be much appreciated as i need some to draw from for my course. cheers
