OK, current update is that i have managed to saw thru to the start of the inside 'cup' (its a cup now) and i have broken one screwdriver. I found that i coundnt put the screwdriver through both slots so tried to do it through 1 slot - obviously not very effective.
Tonight moog is kind enough to get me the M8 screw (it turns out not to be an M6)
I will be picking up a more serious screwdriver that will fit in both slots and pick up more blades for my hack saw (i used 6/7 blades last night).
Are there any other tools i might need, either from a bike store or a hardware store?
