incidentally I also acquired the Rigida rims as well, they look bloody tough. Mine getting laced up to a Schmidt SON 28 hubs and Phil Wood touring hubs (135 shimano) with plain gauge spoke for strength/durablity. also be getting stainless mudguard (chrome), Chris King headset, Shimano XTR V-brake (+ levers), and Thorn rear rack. intended for epic tour only though, already have a commuter/workbike/tractor.

edit: regarding spokes ed, rohloff spokes are double butted, so if they recommend them, then surely they are your best bet.
