the reason the tour de trigs was cancelled with due to ice on roads, so it was pulled by the emergency services.. not because of the walkers.. in 43 years the tour has had two outbreaks of foot and mouth, and only one extreme weather. never lost anyone... well i say that apparently one lad did disappear, amost created a massive search (60 square miles) only to be found at home in bed.. he'd forgotten to tell anyone, he'd quit..
