  • undibs, not for me - but lovely looking frame at an excellent price!

  • dibs. sending a pm

  • rear spacing is usually 110mm on these frames
and no way the threading in BB is English - look, it's cottered axle there! it's 100% soviet specific threading, same as in headset

  • enough of these clueless sales of soviet stuff on here maybe?

  • ^the one i had was a specific thread 36x1mm thread on bb which a italian bb will fit in if you retap.

  • retap not= English, you know?

    +1

  • ^I know it doesnt bother me but other peeps might have trouble when it comes bo buliding up is all, i dont want to piss anyone off. wasnt BSA thou.

  • By the way, I've got a spare 25mm seatpost if someone needs for this frame.

You have to be also careful with the choice of stem. Some just not fit in (they're not always exactly made to measure anyway).

It's not BSA nor Italian. It has to be re-faced to the size and thread you need.

  • ^ i know all this, BSA is 1.37" = 34.798mm x 24tpi, Italian is 36mm x 24tpi in metric 36mm x approx 0.9449mm, the soveit thread is 36mm x 1mm.
I built one up the other day chased the threads with my phil italian cups and hey presto it works perfect. I knew when i bought it that it wasnt going to be standard.
its not French or Swiss which are pure metric.
    its a special ruski thread.

  • They're still great bikes. You can have a proper track based beater instead of some silly slack conversion.

It just helps if you know what you're doing or have someone who can give you an advice.

  • sold? goddamnit.
