It is exactly the same as they are selling in Tokyo Fixed Gear for £350.

Its Brand New, I only bought it on Monday. Receipt to show. I was going to do a frame swap with my current bike for all the parts but have changed my mind as I don't think it will look as good and don't have the cash to build up a whole new bike.. I called and asked to return it but apparently you can't return sales items.. It is the Last 55cm frame available and I can tell from the geometry of the frame and the quality of the steel that it will ride beautifully.

Dont take their sales item no returns bullshit, sales or not, they are to accept returns unless otherwise made known to you before the transaction was completed. If they told you after they will have to refund it. Also, not too sure about this but IIRC you are allowed to return an item even if it is on sale unless you are a business buyer/buying a used item. Dont know if this applies (i.e. did you buy it through their site or in store), but if you purchased the item online (non-auction purchase), The Distance Selling Act allows for a 7 day no question asked 'cooling-off period' to return the product.

So I guess from your reply above the 'you can't return it because it is a sales item' condition was not made known to you before payment?

Apparently it was mentioned, i can't really remember tbh, my mate who was with me says that they did mention it when i was in there. refund still refused. Frame Still for Sale..

I'm assuming that you bought in store, so the Distance Selling Regulations won't apply. Although if you did there is a chance of a longer (3 month) cooling off period.

Assuming you bought it in store, does the receipt state Sales Returns Explained or equivalent? I know places (e.g. Office) stamp their receipts. If you don't remember them explaining the returns policy and it isn't on your receipt, I'd push for a return.

Will they swap it for shop credit?

Dont really want £350 of shop credit in tokyo fixed gear when i work in a bike shop anyways. RRP isn't an option. It's partly why i bought the bike in the first place as we don't deal with Dolan and i love their frames, just a shame i don't have the time to build it up :(

How about this.. Whoever takes the frame off me gets the option to buy and have installed a brand new all black chris king 1" headset for £65 to go with the frame, ill face the bb and headset also and have it professionally installed for free..

f+f still for sale, and offer for a brand new half price headset to fit still on..

yeh, if you could still sort it. i was either going to mention to whoever may be interested that your getting it in and i could pick it up for them or if no one is interested, just build it up myself..

unfortunately, you don't have a right to a refund or even a store credit when you simply change your mind. tokyo fixed are well within their rights to say you can't refund a sale item, as long as it's not faulty. that being said, i do feel for you, having splashed out £350.
