I'm new to single speeds too. I saw the Mongoose online and the you tube vids, and was waiting on a local bike shop to call me when they had one ready for a test ride.
In the meantime I was browsing ebay and put a bid in on a Kona Paddywagon, and won it. It's a great bike, as it turns out (I was a bit worried buying s/h and not knowing that much about bikes), but I saw the Mongoose in the flesh the other day and it looks really nice (yeah I know, it's very orange, but it's really eyecatching).
Do I need, can I afford another SS bike?
