Avoid looking like a clueless hipster and get neither though, seriously. The beat up white one sounds good because you'd be riding hard ironically.
If you want evidence on their durability there was a post dredged up not so long ago about pot holes, this particular one made mince meat of the spok. No link, cant be bothered to UTFS
