For Sale: Complete Raleigh Europa 21 1/2"

Very well looked after Raleigh Team Europa complete bike.
Steel framed, large flange-hubbed wheels, Raleigh-Weinmann centre pulls, Raleigh branded derailleur, black Sportex saddle, GB alloy stem and alloy bars.
Reflector and lamp bracket also intact. Even includes original pump and 80s water bottle and cage.
No rust at all, superb paintwork with minor wrinkles on down-tube decal and top tube decal otherwise brilliant condition.

Hi - seat-tube measures 21.5" c-to-c and 22.5" c-to-top.

Could I ask a question? The cranks on that, I think i've got a set similar (3arm stronglights) could you check if thats what they are? There might be a number stamped on the inside of each arm just next to the pedal thread. Cheers.

It is what equates to a 54cm medium. It's the size I always ride (which is a medium in today's money)
Wheels are 27 1/4".
I can FedEx top Glasgow yes.

No stamps on inside of cranks. front RH has a small stamp that looks like the Raleigh 'bird's head' on it but it's so small I can't really make it out!

The cranks were made by Raleigh and were used in alot of there Racing bikes like the Europa and Arena and I think BSA Tour de France. They were cottered and could be either single with a 48/49 ring or double and the smaller ring was 42 and I think you could buy a conversion kit to convert your bike from 5 to 10 speed.

Lovely bike. My older brother bought one very similar to this, though a 10-speed and a bit bigger, when I was a kid 30 years ago. God, how I lusted after that bike. He was good enough to let me borrow it on occasion.

When I got a few years older I lusted after a 531 Team Pro and then the 753, probably like every other kid in the country. Maybe some day.

Hello everybody, just found the site via "Raleigh Europa" google search and have now joined.
Can't PM you yet as a newbie.

I had 3 of these bikes, my dad finally stopped getting me insurance replacements after the 3rd was stolen !

Berniebike, is it still for sale, time to relive my youth.... smaller than my usual 23" but it's wanted as a commuter bike so I like them small and "flicky".
