could do some Triton velcro strap road shoes for not a lot, plastic soles but for a £5 er plus post what do you expect?
I think you need to be sure whether you want road shoes to skate about in on the pavement, or MTB shoes to walk slightly reasonably in - that dictates the pedals you'll need. Depends on the riding you do too.
