• Fair point, and one of the most reasoned responses I've read in a while. So many comments have been opinions, and not facts. Some folk like to keep their bikes pure and restored faithfully and accurately to original spec, some don't. No bad thing.

    I'm appreciative of the constructive comments received, and only wanted to know more about the history of the frame and forks. Naturally, the closer you look, the more you see. I'm 50/50 about the quality of finish with regards to the paint.

    BLB have been good with me, overpriced or not. I blew the dough (with the help of Cyclescheme voucher), and have a bike I love tearing around London on everyday.

    Time to move on to other things...
