• Hey,

We bought it from Rossin in Italy last year. It came out of a box where it has laid since it was built. We have bought a number of NOS frames from Rossin over the years; I have one hanging on my bedroom wall at the moment, its rad.

To address some of your concerns directly:
    1) Primer: Primer colour varies on what you are trying to achieve as the end product. Ask any old school frame painter, canvas painter or car painter. Besides, any one who resprays frames sandblasts it and paints from baremetal. This is to make the paint adear better, and also because if you add another 8-15 layers of paint all the detail would disapea, and given the panto is still clear than it is only logical that it doesn't have excessive paint layers on it.

    2) Filling: My Rossin is amazingly nice, but also has slightly ropey panto-filling. Thats just rossin for you. Not the best painter in Italy. Top quality frame builder though.

    3) The Dropouts: Both Campag and Gippiemme made dropouts, the gippiemme are cheaper versions of the campag, but are still branded and nice. Forks and frames haveing different dropouts are fairly common, if you come into the shop I could probably find you 10 frames hanging with mis matching ends. It happens for a variety of reasons, some due to frames and forks being made seperately, and its only painted for a customer, for cost, because they don't really care, building from what you have left etc...

    4) track frame!? Dude, no one will have EVER EVER EVER told you this is a track frame, to insinuate that we did is pretty dishonest. I was here when you were sold that frame, and it was sold to you as a road frame for a conversion, no one ever called it a track frame, or a track bike. Fixed wheel, yes, conversion yes, track NO.

    5) Price: Thats the kind of price is pretty standard for NOS nice road frames in stores. Check out TFG road frame prices, or continental shops and you'll see the same kind of deal. Its a really nice frame. This forum is known for offering really good prices, like mates rates, its not comparible to the shop environment for buying anything.

I know Maciek has spoken to you on the phone, but please, in future if you doubt the service or products you have bought from us hit me up, on here or at harry@bricklanebikes.co.uk. We'll never intentionally mislead you, there is no point in doing so, and we always want you to be a happy customer, so just get in touch, and we'll explain and/or sort shit out.

I'm sorry that you doubt the frames authenticity, but really, its real, its nice, and ROSSIN is a cracking little brand. I like mine muchly. They cast their own BB shells and seat clusters fromm 87 and everything. WIN
