I use a lot of these and Campag BB's with loose balls on our track bikes. The better the quality of the cups and axle the more sensitive they are to the quality of the balls.
Skimping on the balls and not greasing the bracket properly and riding in the rain will trash a sugino BB in no time !
Grade 10 ( best ) AISI 52100 chrome steel balls are cheap ( £4 for 20 ) from the specialist bearing suppliers and really do make a difference.
A new Sugino BB set is over £65 why risk trashing it for £ 4 worth of balls a a blob of good grease......
