i spose the moral of the story is, don't attach personal information to online handles, for reasons that have been made patently obvious. however i do reserve the right to take exception to individuals who happen upon such information making it apparent to any audience without that persons express permission, no matter how accessible said information may be. it strikes me as vindictive and infantile - not what i like to think this forum and its' subscribers are all about.

The other possible moral, and one which might limit the vindictiveness and infantilism which can infect online fora, is to assume that everything you post online is effectively on your headed paper.

Say you sign up to another forum, you go in and post something like 'I love children', the next thing you know, half the forum is saying you're a pedophile, then in the blink of an eye, someone has posted your info everywhere and there's a witch hunt going on. Simple truth is you only wanted a job as a nanny.

Some folk jumped the gun that's all.

This is so dumb, especially in light of a death of another cyclist.

Someone's obviously got mixed up with the "Post Comment in Thread" button and the "PM Poster in Question directly and Request that they Remove the Comment with a Valid Explanation for your Request" button.
