I have joined in response to gobby_wench's comments.
If there is one thing that loving Dan taught me it's that he didn't judge. No matter what anyone did he would have shrugged his shoulders and still bought them a drink (which could be immensely infuriating!), but that was Dan. So please don't be upset by what this person has written, he wouldn't have been.He was incredibly special and very, very loved; Weazlepopper and PeuJoe, he knew how you felt about him and I hope you did too.
Weazlepopper, I can always remember him telling me about when you got a bike for christmas from you employer and he thought that was the best thing ever!Keep riding and please stay safe
Hankie xxx xox xxx(Gobbywench if you would like to reply please feel free and take your best shot) ^^

Hankie, gobby_wench has I believe been kicked off LFGSS for their comments in here. as a community and fellow cyclist theirs was unacceptable behaviour.

^^Thanks for the photos.
I have just had a call from Jasmine at the Hackney Gazette. As a result of this tragedy they are planning a campaign to make Hackney safer for cyclists. Jasmine would like to write something about Dan and what he was like but she doesn't want to copy posts from the forum. If anyone feels up to contacting her, PM me and I will pass on the details.

This is just too sad and such a waste of a life. Regulary cycle up and down past this spot and will try and think of something to add to the memorial - lovely idea by the way weazlepopper.
What else can people do? Write to MP's? TFL? Keep us up to date with the safer cycling in Hackney campaign?

Dunno where from but I think I recognise him. Damn
Really sorry to hear this
I have a bike already prepared which I was going to use to replace the one for my friend James Foster killed in 2003 http://admin.roadpeace.org/internetmemorials/memorial.php?show=289 but seem more approapriate to use here.
I made it like a fixie as that was what James rode.
