This is the Mail, so I can't say I'm surprised, but still - pretty shocking.

    Thanks for sharing Tommy.

  • On a lighter note, this article is just ridiculous, and has hilarious comments:

"Apparently the badgers are planning another attack next week", ha ha!

God, how I loathe that paper...

  • for CYCLING no less.

  • The Verizon iPhone.

    What is the Verizon iPhone?

  • Verizon is a network much like Vodaphone or O2.

  • Boom. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12371994

the UK needs a stronger national identity to prevent people turning to extremism.
FFS, what does this c*** want exactly?

  • My local pakistani supermarket has photos of David Cameron standing with the shopkeeper behind the fag counter. He visited during the election campaign, always makes me lol.

  • oh look. tories being undiluted racist fucks.

    /plus ca change...

  • Has he got any evidence that isn't anecdotal?

They churn out this hypocracy constantly, seemingly appealing to common sense with undefined concepts like the big society and getting rid of seggregation, while putting into effect policies which do the exact opposite.

  • He made the statement at a conference in Germany, where only two months ago, Angela Merkel said the exact same thing.

Now, the fact that Germany is the only western country actually showing something resembling growth makes me think that the uk.gov are cosying up to them in a big way as some sort of plan B now that they've realised how we're about to double-dip.

I mean, honestly, what the fuck does he mean by "multiculturalism has failed"? Thats a pretty clear statement to make. Why not just go all the way and bring back apartheid?

  • Well, he's covering his back by talking about 'state multiculturalism' (whatever that is) but I doubt the nuance will survive the reporting in the tabloid press.
Also, this:* "Under the doctrine of state multiculturalism we have encouraged different cultures to live separate lives, apart from each other and the mainstream".* Would he say this about the Orthodox Jewish community round where I live? No, he wouldn't though it would be broadly true. He is eliding religion, culture and terrorism in a sickening way. The absence of any Orthodox Jewish terrorists in Britain allows him to avoid anything resembling a subtle or sophisticated discussion about what 'integration' really means and instead gives succour to people who are already prejudiced and uninformed about Muslims in Britain. Asinine, crude and lamentable.

  • Has he got any evidence that isn't anecdotal?

Yes, lots, but none of it fits with his ideology, so he bins it all.

  • Warning: really sad squirrel story:

    :(

Here's a cheery squirrel picture to offset it (not fake, they used the picture in National Geographic and it's been in the papers too):

  • Perhaps Cameron's speech was a subtle ploy to undermine the EDL and draw their membership away. For all that they are always portrayed as an extremist group, and no doubt have members who have extremist views, the EDL's stated position doesn't seem to be different in substance from what Cameron was saying yesterday, except perhaps that their target is more explicit and more specific: as they put it, 'Militant Islam'.

  • ironic that the only swivel-eyed extremists you see in the papers of late happen to be pig-ignorant, banner waving crackers. comedy gold that tommy robinson, top dog at the EDL owns a tanning salon.

I chuckled when I heard that, but it does add to his platform as an 'ordinary bloke' whose concerns are not being heard by politicians (until yesterday, at least). Having that Sikh bloke on board can't hurt either, and I note on their web site there's some moderate muslim cleric who has come out in favour of them.

  • really? things were so much easier when mindless goose-stepping maggots were all the same colour.

    fuck em all either way.
