• Some chains have pins flattened over on both sides. I broke a couple of cheap tools on my KMC Devil 101, and a Hub-jub tool wouldn't shift the pins either. So I ground the pin head off/down with a mini-drill grinder, and then pushed the pin out no problem. This was fine for me because I was just shortening to use the master-link thingy. Not much use if you were planning to put it back together.
