thanks hyper allah i did have a look at that page before but thought it looked pretty complicated. i think i'm sorted for the time being but one day i will have a go. the tool club sounds really useful anyway though as i've got a few things i've been meaning to sort out but i lack the necessary tools so i will pop in soon.
