Pressure washing roofterrace at landlords request(astroturf with about half an inch of moss, fag ends and general filth), small piece of paper blocks top of downpipe, overflows and covers front of freshly painted house(and neighbours) in skanky filth juice. Blockage removed, crisis over?
But wait, there's more:
Due to landlords poor choice of drainage solutions the bottom of the downpipe, instead of flowing straight into the drain opens out onto the small porch area of the basement flat, blocking the tiny drain and flooding said area to a depth of about 3inches. Luckily it slopes away from their front door.
Now got to wait for the water to subside a bit then pull the draincover up and pull handfulls of shit out.
Damn.
