-
• #6
i have a 13" macbook unibody with apple care until october 11 just had a new trackpad and disc drive installed aswell as the new charger
-
• #7
Just to add, mine is in perfect nick, never taken out of the house.
-
• #8
these are both macbooks, not macbook pro's right? so they are both white?
-
• #9
i was tempted (1 year old 2.53 8gb 13in macbookpro) but i realised the new 15in doesn't have the express card slot and that's the only reason i would swap, and the old one doesn't have the corei5 but does have the card slot.
they make top money on ebay though, you will have no trouble selling it, or maybe try a trade-in at an authorised mac reseller?

mac2sell.net values it at £670. First 'dibs' at that price. I'm not paying over the odds. Sorry

Ah, had the right model, but didn't see the 'reader' bit and priced it with a cd rom.
Cool. £730 then. And I can pick and pay tomorrow.

and mine has 4GB and not 2GB. So if anyone want to pay cash then am willing to sell for £800 or swap for same or higher spec, not lower.
-
• #15
for the same reason you want one (portability) i'm keeping mine.
if it was the core machine and it had an expresscard slot then it would help speed up the retouching i do (you can get an external sata adapter for a photoshop scratch disk).for anyone not doing such ram/processor intensive work it will be a great machine.
if whoever buys it wants to max the ram out at 8gb it's dirt cheap now. i paid £80, 4gb will be fine for most users though.

I'm guessing the applecare on my MBP won't carry over to this one right?
Also do you have details on the GFX card.
thanks

Could you give me a day or so to think about it? I'm super busy at the moment so need a bit of time to have a look at things properly.
Is it possible to get applecare for it now or is it too late?

I've got the same machine and have been wondering how much it's worth... now I know... might be selling to buy a 27" iMac when the new ones come out...
Ello chaps looking for someone who is willing to buy or wants to swap my MBP 15" for a MBP 13", i use it to take to uni everyday and was the reason i bought it as i never had a large external screen, i now have one and would prefer to use a MBP 13" to take back and forth to uni.
Mine is the:
MACBOOK PRO 2.4GHZ
4GB RAM
250GB HD - that is the one you will get as at the moment i upgraded as soon as i got it to my 500GB 7200 drive. so original drive has had little use.
mine does not have applecare warranty, but have never had any problems with it.
MINE HAS THE EXPRESS CARD SLOT. VERY USEFUL AS MR SMYTH POINTED OUT
so would be willing to swap for a well kept 13" Mac Book Pro or sell for around £900 ono.
OR
selling my dads laptop which is also the same as mine but the none unibody, so silver keypad 2.4, 4gb. it has cosmetic damage were it was knocked, but the whole computer is functioning.
so this one also to swap or sell for £700 ono
