42:15 is 73.7 GI, if you want comfortable city riding and the ability to skid, with all being equal you know to get your arse out of the saddle, hump the stem, and pull up with your leading leg, then you should ideally be looking for a ratio of anything between 55-68GI depending on how spinny you want to be, so put on a 17t and it gets you right into 65GI.
Also next time check where your thread is posted up, I doubt anyone is looking in classifieds and shopping to see a request for gear ratio advice.
