My mum bought me the dan leppard book a while ago, but a lot of the recipies were quite technical/required quite a long time to come to fruition. For a beginner it was a bit overwhelming imho, although undoubtedly his book contains the tips you would need to be a pro, I would imagine. I found I just didn't want to commit that much to breadmaking. I gave it back to my mum as she bakes almost everyday with her own leaven. Now I just frequent the bakery...
