Hey just a thought but do you accept souls? One kinda used, certainly not NOS but has life left, soul in exchange for the Henry Burton? Yeah?

That Burton is the best period track frame I've seen on ebay in a long time, looks like Hilary was the man to beat.. :(

Brilliant stuff as usual, Hilary...

Ah but I didn't buy the Burton on Ebay - the winner bidder was in China and could not pay - the seller is a friend of mine and I bought it from him direct.

Cheeky, but would you be willing to accept the payment for the Burton in instalments?

Dibs NONAME YELLOW TRACK FRAME c1980s
Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out five excellent track frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 – other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL
Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html
for details of what is available.
Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**
Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

HENRY BURTON TRACK FRAME c1959
Seat Tube (ctt): 21.25in (54cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 21.25in (54cm)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Wheel size: Sprint/700C
Henry Burton was a Stafford framebuilder who in the 1950s built some really gorgeous frames – to take a look at another one from the same period see http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/henryburton.html The shop is still open in Stafford in the same family’s hands. This frame has been built with Prugnat lugs and Reynolds 531 double butted tubing together with close clearances and steep angles for pure track use – just take a look at the minimal clearance under the fork crown. The rear track dropouts are just massive suggesting it was built for a powerful sprinter. It is not drilled for a brake at either front or back. It is chrome plated all over and this is generally in very good condition except on the top of the fork crown. A pair of seat tube and head tube decals will be included. This is one very special track frame. £525
MERCURY TRACK FRAME 1980s
Seat Tube (ctt): 52cm (20.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 42mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This track frame dates from the second half of the 1980s – its extremely cleanly built and has lovely tight clearances front and rear. The paint is in excellent condition and it will make a very straightforward build for either the track or road. **SOLD **
NONAME YELLOW TRACK FRAME c1980s
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This is really nice track frame from I think the 1980s judging by the components. It has Suntour track rear dropouts for a 10mm axle (standard track rear) spaced at 110mm – this is really unusual and generally only found on Keirin track frames of this period. I can get the rear ends respaced at the standard 120mm if required. It is not drilled for a brake at the front or rear - it would be very easy to have the front fork drilled if necessary. This is clearly a pure close clearance track frame. £185
NONAME RED TRACK FRAME c1980s
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 40mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This track frame from an unknown builder (frame no is 74971 in quite small stamping on BB) was obviously built as a proper track frame – just take a look at the tight clearances, brake drop is a minimal 40mm! The red paint is mostly in very good condition with just a small number of marks and there are no dents or dings as far as I can see. SOLD
CHRIS MARSHALL TRACK FRAME REYNOLDS 531 DOUBLE BUTTED
Seat Tube (ctt): 22in (56cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 22.25in (56.5cm)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C with brake drop of 43mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Chris Marshall is a Yorkshire frame builder who used to build for Pennine Cycles. This frame was originally built in the late 1990s as a road frame. Subsequently it has had track dropouts fitted in place of the road dropouts and the paint has been retouched locally. It has nice close clearances. £139 SOLD
