'UK Garage' is a name hijacked by the music press and shit London DJ's like EZ, Tuff Jam, Norris Da Boss etc to pigeonhole the new way of playing HOUSE - basically pitching decent NYC vocal House and GARAGE up to +8 so it sounded obviously quicker and shite high pitched vocals.
Grant Nelson was another, used to make decent enough UK HOUSE but they all played on +8, a lot of the dubs had a 2/2 beat as oppose to a classic 4/4 beat - hence where the name '2Step' came from
The biggest shite crossover song for the new genre was 'Gabriel'(above) and that wank 'Never Gonna Let You Go'
Speed Cabbage was born
Oooohhhh!!!!
My shirt sleeves are slowly being rolled up and sweat has appeared on my brow. But luckily for you I'm off home in a minute and can't be arsed at this juncture to law out any points apart from one.
It was called 2-step because the dance moves involved literally only incorporated 2 individual steps, I can teach you if you want.
