September '08, Austin TX. Hit a kerb while racing across town. Knocked out cold. Police/EMS were called before I woke up. Got three staples, was dizzy and couldn't focus for a month. Was back on bike next day to go to doctor for follow-up. Bullied into getting a helmet, wore it once, gave it to a friend... I think my skull is pretty solid...
