• Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

    ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL

Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html

for details of what is available.

Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**

Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

HETCHINS VADE MECUM ROAD FRAME 1958
    Seat Tube (ctt): 23in (58cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22.5in (57cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted tubing
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 50mm
This Hetchns dates from 1958 is their Vade Mecum model with moderately fancy lugs. The chrome is in generally very sound condition except for a small area behind the lower head lug. The paint is useable but a bit scruffy. It would make a very cool conversion. £285

EPHGRAVE NO 1 ROAD FRAME c1951
    Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 57mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Les Ephgrave was one of the most skilled builders of fancy lugged frames - he originally worked for Claud Butler before setting up his own business in the late 1940s. This Ephgrave No 1 dates from about 1951 and has been very nicely painted with gorgeous bright red paint. It has had a few bits of modernising - derailleur cable guides on the BB shell, bottle cage bosses and a gear hanger. Its extremely useable as it is and it could be de-modernised before repainting at a later date. This particular frame is one of the best No 1s I have seen - the lugwork all varies to some extent. A really stunning frame. £350

    RALEIGH WOMEN’s TOURING FRAME 1988
    Seat Tube (ctt): 48cm (19in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 52.5cm (20.75in)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
    Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 main tubes
    Seatpost size: 26.6mm
This is an especially nice women’s touring frame from Raleigh with complete with cantilever brakes - it will build into a great little tourer. The paint is generally excellent. £75

    DAWES WINDSOR TOURING FRAME 1980s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 122mm
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This Dawes road frame has been converted into a tourer with cantilever brake braze-ons. The paint is quite sound and useable though it has a number of marks. A very good starter for tourer. Its almost certainly built with Reynolds 531 double butted main tubes judging by the seatpost size. £75

    ROY THAME ROAD FRAME c1979
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
    Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 46mm
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Roy Thame was the brand name used by the F W Holdsworth shop in Putney after they were stopped from using the Holdsworth name by the Holdsworthy company who had seperated from the shop in the early 1960s. Their frames were mostly built in-house by Tommy Quick by this time. This frame is in very good condition with extremely useable paint. It will make a very sound fixed or singlespeed conversion. £125

    HILL SPECIAL TRACK FRAME c1950
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 46mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted tubing
This Hill Special Track frame has been converted to road use about thirty years ago with a gear hanger (easily removed) brake cable stops, and a new rear brake bridge. It is in excellent condition and has quite close clearances for a track frame of this age. £160

    CHAS ROBERTS TT FRAME c1978
    Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 45mm)
    Frame tubing: Reynolds
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
1970s TT frames often had the geometry of a track frame - steep angles, short wheelbase and tight clearances - this frame built by Chas Roberts is no exception. This frame is in very good condition with just a little paint bubbling around the seat lug and some minor rust around the top tube cable guides. The vertical rear dropouts are drilled as is the bottom bracket... Its fitted with what feels like a very good Edco headset. The frame and forks feels lighter than standard 531 - I would guess its built from Reynolds 531SL . A rather rare and cool frame. £195

    WOODRUP ROAD FRAME 1960s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in),
    Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 55mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted tubing
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This Woodrup frame dates I think from the 1960s and needs a full restoration - this is reflected in its price. However the frame is perfectly sound with just a couple of very small dents to the top tube and filling these and painting should be straightforward. It would be easy to use as a singlespeed or fixed. £69
