  • Yeh, this is generally the right thing to do. By tightening the really loose spokes you're relieving the stress from the overall structure. Just bear in mind that for this to happen means that the wheel probably wasn't that well made to start with and some considerable fatigue could have easily occurred already at the spoke shoulders. You'll find out in a couple of months if it's time for a new wheel when it starts busting spokes left right and centre.

    uhhhh it got to this stage thru my own stupidity which ended with the rear wheel being ridden over and then me ignoring the problem (loose spokes) for a few weeks. the front wheel is the same parts (condor hub x condor open pro copy, 32h), built by condor, and is absolutely fine, so was the rear until my, ahem, faux pas.
