Why not go for TA chainrings? They make pretty much every size going and cheaper than OEM.

Ive read that they arent very round which is hard to believe but there seems to be lots of complaints in forums

Just my 2p but I don't believe "that they arent very round" and I've used TA Alize (track), Hegoa (road) and Chinoock (mountain) on different bikes and experienced no issues at all .. also I believe you will find that TA make Stronglight chainrings

not enough info on surly, will give TA a try. proably in 47t
,with a 50T Stronglight as its got more surface area so should be stiffer then the TA 50T
I have these cranks (nos) and Im trying not to buy another crankset because these are supposed to be good, the problem is the bcd, I will be using them on the track.
I recently got a 103mm bottom bracket for it.
I found some NOS Dura-Ace 130bcd chainrings for around 80euro but I dont know much about them
my choices in the affordable range are either Stronglight Zicral or Velosolo(which I havent heard much about)
I presume the Sugino MC130 isnt that much higher quality? they are 130+euro in some places
