That's a really nice build, looks like a really good ride. And for the price you could hardly grumble, get a matching rear open pro build and you'd be set.
-
• #8
yeah if i was keeping it i would build an open pro for the rear and it would be a nice bike, would last a while

Are you selling the bars? I'm up north too, could maybe collect?
-
• #25
the drop bars i am yeh, brand new like. £10 or £15 with stem, can meet any time
I built this last week and noticed, I do not need this bike, I have nowhere to put it, and can't afford it.
It's a pretty nice bike. The frame is Hardisty, which was a bike shop in Newcastle until it became Edinburgh Bike Co a few years back. As you can see it's quite tight and has nice clearances etc.. It uses Deda Zero-Tre tubing. Don't know much about that but its pretty light.
Parts:
54cm Hardisty Frame, Chrome Forks
Shimano 105 Headset
Flite Alpes Saddle
RPM Chainset, 170mm, 52t
17t rear sprocket
Omega rear wheel, flip flop, fixed/free
Hand built front wheel, large flange hub, dt swiss spokes, brand new mavic open pro 36h rim, 3X.
Rear gatorskin.
2 gate toe clips with brand new genetic brown double toe straps.
MKS MT E pedals
Dia compe front brake
Brand new tektro crosstop lever
Brand new Genetic Chromozome track bars
Now the problems. The bottom bracket is stuck in there, and the rear wheel is my old polo wheel so, fairly buckled by up to 10mm at the worst point. I have ridden it, fast, and it rides fine. Im sure it will last and be ok, but if you want a nicer bike it will probably need replacing.
Ive been told the bottom bracket can be removed if you soak it or whatever. It is still running smooth though and the chainline is fine so I just left it in there.
Everything else is working fine, the brake is missing a bolt right now but i have another I can replace it with easily. Gearing is 52x17 and I will include a 18t on one sprocket in the sale.
Postage for £20 as I am up north. Paypal.
