Yep if I get my bike back from Cov powder coating in the right colour.

Not heard of them... Cheap? Thinking of trying that B'ham place that charges £20...

It was £40 cash which included shotblasting. Went to pick it up today but it was the wrong colour so they're doing it again. Looked good enough quality though.

It would be cheaper to go to birmingham if that includes shotblasting, it's only like £3 return on the train.

It's including chemical stripping, and it's an extra £5 for forks too :)

That £20 offer has been going since last year according to a friend of mine. Not sure how long it'll last, but hopefully long enough :)

I have a bike being coated at City Powder Coaters right now, have had one done there previously, it helps if you quote a RAL number for the paint colour when you drop off the frame, also lets them know you did your homework...

If it's a common colour they will have it in stock, if it's a weird colour ( I chose 6003 in matt this time) and they never use it for cars/parts/wheels then they'll ahve to get it especially for you and that's £10 extra, but still worth it...

They aren't quick, they don't mind doing bikes (I asked them if it's a ballache) but we are low priority to their higher paying work.

Prep the job yourself, leave a crappy BB in, crappy seatpost in etc, leave bolts in all threads. They don't do prep.

That sucks! I noticed the saddle that comes with my order was out of stock. Not sure if there's any issues with the order though...

You might want to log in and check the status. The indication when I ordered was that it would ship the same day then I checked later and it says "Order held whilst awaiting stock - Your order is on hold whilst awaiting delivery of a missing item(s)."

It seems their online stock levels aren't real time or are updated manually.

Asking my mate to log in and check. He ordered it via his account as he was ordering some stuff too, and I couldn't get my log in details to work for some reason.

Their e-commerce system is a bit peculiar. They sent me a password that didn't work. Later on it did work. Go figure.
