What a load of balls. Big deal, a group of guys make a light-hearted sexist comment about a girl and someone gets fired over it?! Yet when women do the same to men it's never blown out of proportion. It's taken as it was meant, a light-hearted comment.
How come it's only males who can be accused of being sexist? A similar thing happens with most forms of prejudice/discrimination (racism, i'm looking at you), but that's for another discussion. However I do agree with Ron Atkinson's dismissal, that was just too far.
P.S. Surely a better way of dealing with this was to get the lineswoman/linesperson/whatever the correct term is and show the video in slo-mo from every angle possible showing Gray that she did in fact make the right decision when Gray got it wrong.
