That's good. Whenever cycling can go somewhere that has so far been motor-dominated there's a little bit of progress. On its own, this obviously looks pretty gimmicky at the moment, but who knows? Perhaps Hornby and/or other manufacturers will soon produce a mountain bike track? Or a cyclo-cross track? Or a BMX track? Or a cycling road race game?
There have always been cycling-related toys around, but they used to be a lot more popular, which is why we now greet the arrival of something like this with some scepticism. But why not? Of course, the velodrome looks a bit bare, but it may lead to other, more interesting cycling toys.
