One of our nation ruby league's refs is a lady. She recieves exactly the same respect as any of the other refs, and does a great job of controlling the forwards and broken play, where players could otherwise get hurt (what I look for first in a ref). Norwegian rugby is full of sneeky old b**tards like myself, and players that had'nt so much as seen the game 6 months ago. So its bloody tricky to ref in a manner that helps develope players and teams.
I can honestly say she's one, if not the, best ref in our league.
Shame shes fecking french.
