Sorry to revive an old thread but almost a year on I would quite like to know how this situation has developed? Did anyone ever confront your wife's friend? Or is she still wrecking everyone's head?

I can only imagine the arguments this caused at the nickyspagetti dinner table.

My wife has some awful friends (less now that we have been together for 23 years, thank Christ), mainly on account of the fact that she's a lot more charitable and tolerant than me - not hard. However, I'm happy with my tendency to err on the side of caution with character assessment, as it spares me from a lot of oxygen wasters.

Haha, this was a while back - no I never bothered to confront her. She got a new boyfriend and moved to the other side of town, so I rarely have to put up with her any more. It's a kind of win win situation - She has found somone who can put up with her, and I don't have to see her.

I'm sure she would have loved to argue about the cross, but I think we would argue on the same side, so it wouldn't be too much fun.
Really, there are so many stupid arguments here, it seems to be more popular to argue than to do anything to change the shit that goes on - The cross was one thing, but the aftermath of the Russian report on the crash is fairly amusing too. People are still trying to come up with conspiracies and not accept that it happened due to Polish negligence.
