i asked why's it 'sooo' expensive, not 'so' expensive. Chappy has had a few 3renshos allegedly owned by keirin champs over the years and they're never nearly as dear.

Edit: Actually fairly certain they are going by the brake drop and the clearance.

They are, the owner (Pointer) had the frame + original forks + an extra set of road forks repainted and installed the road forks to be able to run a front brake.
