Hello boys.

I really like the Langster and when I get some lighter wheels on there and some drop bars it will be even better. Pretty much confirmed my suspicions about how much undiluted snobbery there is on the main forum.
I though the forum favour the Langster but 'diss' the city edition one.
I always like the langster, the only grip I had with it is the heavy original wheelsets despite having a stupidly light frame.
One of our staff ride a langster, the road-geo one and he upgraded every single component, and it's stupidly light.

This is about a poo-brown Langster with a certain history. :)

I hasn't introduced myself; I'm currently a provisional instructor who need to gain more experience to become accredited.
Currently I work at Evans, however I'm going to work with Islington Council to teach their deaf resident (as my experience proven useful), they're kind enough to provide me a CRB while I sort out the first aids and insurance.

are you a noobie?

good work and good luck for Islingtonia
-
• #41
pretty much a noobie, Evans also offer cycle training too, so need to speak to the London Bridge one as Tom from Evans Wimbledon told me that they're the one who deal with it.

well done Ed. I don't normally correct your grammar but you might want to remember it is first-aid, with no 's' at the end because certain people have already found that hilarious enough to make hilarious posts about it in an hilarious way. And I have hilariously deleted them.

Isn't it helen in evans HQ in gatwick that deals with it ed?

Oh yes, still need to get round to that (contacting Helen), need to find her email address as sending email to evans doesn't seemed to get notice (surprise surprise!).
Will, no problem, will take note.

Ed - PM me if you are interested in doing a first aid course on January 6 in CTUK's office in Bermondsey. While not actually cycling specific you will do it alongside other cycling instructors and it works out about half the price of a StJA or RC course.

Already contact Maresha about it, and sending her a cheque for that first aid course, thank though.

Hi Kate
I'm new to this site and looking for a bit of one-to-one training to get me started.
What's the best way to go about this?

Hi. This thread http://www.lfgss.com/thread43905.html contains a list of local councils that provide training. Following the link should tell you how to contact them.
If your council is not on there, or they do not provide one to one training, then feel free to contact me or SkyDancer directly via this forum.
Cheers, Will -

I trained with CTUK in late 08 and fully accredited in the spring of 09, I deliver adult and schools training for Camden, Islington, Westminster and Barnet. I am on a school course most weeks and have trained over 200 adults since I started up. This is my full time gig and I love the diversity and being all over north London on my bike. I am compiling a list of "Pie Shops" which I favour at http://londonneur.wordpress.com but I don't seem to have enough time to blog as much as I would like to. I feel strongly that growing cycling is important and that it can help address many of the issues facing us all.
Fully clothed.
