  • I bumped into Joe and Mike at a party on Thursday and both had heard about it and are on it.

We're all so vain that I don't think numbers is an issue.

  • Thats good to know! should be exciting

  • proof of this vanity - in the two days before the last date set fell through, i cleaned my bike twice.

I understand I have problem, I just don't want to do anything about it.

  • Haha! Thats understandable, when I used to drive I was well into car detailing and would wash it every week. I now have all these car cleaning products and no car to clean so now the bike gets a weekly clean and polish and a wipe down after everyride! Nothing to be ashamed about, I love grease too! I like to grease my chain regularly, is that weird?

Can you clean my bike please?

Alright Chris just dropped you a pm about car detailing, wondering if you might be able to advise a fellow Brighton fixed rider.
    Cheers

Replied, I didnt realise it was brighton! You could always drive down to mine, about 40 mins from brighton and ill give it a once over.

  • A quick reminder that this is next weekend guys and girls, lets make it a good turnout. Tell your friends and their mothers, get everyone down.

  • I'm in the process of having a new frame/new bike. How exciting!!

  • Still up for this, am spreading the word as much as poss too.

Can we have final confirmation on date/time/place?

    Nice!

Sunday the 30th (sunday coming) at the pier at say 11? How does that sit with everyone?

  • works for me

  • Jolly good! It might even drag some of the Sunday sluggards out in time for the start of polo...

  • but they'll all be riding their pretty bikes

  • Are people still planning on playing polo afterwards?

  • Which Pier? Also I am planning to be monumentally hungover so no close ups please and yes I will be on my pretty bike :)

  • West Pier? More space to stand around and look pretty, I promise no close ups rich until you have gotten over your hangover haha.

  • So, young Rich, you can come and have thy photo taken but you can't make it to polo of a Sunday, very fishspicious if you ask me...

Sunday is polo day, this is just a vanity project (quite literally!), so show your support and test your mettle on the courts at Preston Park from 1pm-ish.

To those of you getting your eyebrows plucked for this, come down to polo afterwards, we'll play nice!

  • Would you guys mind if i came along? I have never played but I'd be interested to watch.

  • Of course. Polo is open to anyone.

You can borrow a bike if you want a go.

  • Definitely do come along Chris, we are all really friendly and always up for new people having a go.

Don't pay any attention to my aggressive piss-taking. It's just that trash talk seems to be an integral part of polo...

  • Casting aspersions on my Polo commitment? I shall see thine on the Sabbath and shalt charge mine polo- lance into thine visage verily

Sounds good, I can use my bike its cool.

Haha, nice! Dont worry I'm used to it, I live with a scotsman so its the norm in my house.

  • well dice has a st andrews cross scarred across his chest. at least i think thats what it is. either way, he's well scottish.

  • Casting aspersions is a hobby of mine and you knew that much already, Sir Richard of Errmine (if that's your real name!). Don't make me call your lady and tell her you've been soliciting lance-to-face encounters from your internet friends.

And you, Jack, are one of the lucky ones who has seen the full glory of my Celtic heritage. You must have let the image fade in your mind to make such a weak analysis of my scarrage ;)
