i know its a tiny complaint, but how come all the writing on the chain is facing different directions? surely should be all bottom to the sprocket?

You think they have time to align all the stamped links when they assemble the chain?

I remember that bike, and it's still pornworthy in my eyes.

The amount of tech Rohloff apply and the amount they charge for their stuff they should be all aligned!

Lets see this in full...
It's in current projects, I've just finished building it. Thanks for posting in Porn TFH.
Oh really, I didn't know you were on here too otherwise I'd have mentioned your name when I posted the pics! I got them off RB. Lovely bike, although I'm not a huge fan of the bars (seem shallow) and saddle/saddle position (looks a bit forward) it's an inspiration to me as I just picked up a Raleigh Europa in Team colours (nowhere near as desirable of course, but still ;) )

The bars were on there when I picked it up, I know what you mean, I have some NOS 3T track bars too, still looking for a decent stem. The Brooks is as far back as it will go, the Pro does give the impression of being forward though.

Please don't take what I said as criticism, it's always a balancing act between function and aesthetics. I can imagine the saddle to bar drop being huge if you went with deeper drop bars and I tend not to like Brooks saddles on most bikes period.
I was undecided whether I wanted black or gold rims on my Raleigh when I'm converting it (cause that's what I have laying around) until I saw yours. Gold it is! -

Apart from saddle-bag (instant fail).
It would look a lot better with a silver seatpost and stem.

was thinking exactly the same. Silver everything including the rims. With traditional-ish tubes, and especially when it has chromed fork, most bikes just look better with silver hardware in my opinion.

we can't see anything.
but i think that it's this, a frame from a professional keirin champion, that's the reason for the price: http://njs-keirin.blogspot.com/2011/01/kamiyama-samson.html
