Wanted: steel audax/tourer 60cm ish

got knocked off my galaxy on friday by a fecking car driver ( what a beautiful 29th birthday i had). i'm fine but my beloved cycle has sadly died.

i am hoping to strip the usable parts to swap onto a 'new to me' frame but would consider something wonderful thats built and waiting for me for xmas.

my cycling history starts with a raleigh (fell apart) followed by a horizon (knicked) then a galaxy . i was thinking that i'd get something that wasn't a dawes, i thought about upping my game and still going british but... a woodrup, a condor, a jackson....

am reducing my collection and have a 1959 Carlton fast touring frameset...23"seat tube , 531 throughout...all the touring braze ons...was going to build as a 12 or 18 speed fast tourer...frame is in superb refurbished condition...and is flambouyant violet in colour with delicately lined lugs in gold with correct transfers.
Handbuilt before the Raleigh takover this is a classic frame, not to be confused with a mass produced one.
I've had the frame for some time, but never built it up, I purchased it from a"well known"old timer who bought it new.

P.S if you wanted to swap your Galaxy stuff over shouldn't be a problem - although the Carlton frame looks stunning (I was going to fit NoS kit onto it).
