that was for Rich by the way....
Thanks!
Unfortunately I am the tenant and dealing withe the agents I am already stuck with is like getting blood from a stone.
They were asked twice to facilitate contractor access and dodged the issue, so it's clear they don't hold keys. Or, if they do, then WTF?!
Rant thread, sorry everyone :-)

Never mind sorry - get the fookers by the throat and make them explain/perform. Get round the office and make them want to make you go away.

Office only open during office hours, at which time I am at work, in an office, not near their office.
Property 'managers' really get on my nerves... sucking money as a middleman, for the task of 'managing' while actually handing off most of the work to me... and the £75 fee for admin when I moved in (sending two emails to my employer and previous landlord)... severely tempted to withhold rent and give up my deposit. The bonus is that the rent is low.
I hope they go out of business, the cunts.

Good friend of mine did prop manag't when he was on his beam ends. Even then, he gave it up as "too scum rich". Not, too scum, Rich, BTW.
They are awful. Another trade pretending to be a profession.

Oh and the email I just got... 'I am out of the office tomorrow so I will deal with it when I am back in the office on Tuesday'.
FUCKSAKE, you're claiming £37.50 per email, learn to proofread.
Where's the marxist/ neo-marxist/ anti-commodification thread?

^^^To paraphrase Karl - 'philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point is to change it, beginning with the total eradication of those who claim a wage engaged in any duplicitous enterprise tarnished with the stinky veneer of property related respectability'.

Usual mis-directed anger.
Just fire-bomb all the Minis. This will eradicate the urban scurge of Foxtons, as well as many other inexcusables.

Hi all, new to the scene and have purchase a titanium bike recently. It's fairly old circa early 90's I think. It is a wilier, or so the decals suggest. Can anyone help me identify the model or know of where I can find more about it. It is loaded with campag 8 speed, campag seat post brakes etc. It has some old campag pedal which are huge and have some kind of ratchet system in them. It also has some f.i.r rims on it. Help please? Also what's it worth?

contact your landlord, their address is on your tenancy agreement, chances are they won't want to lose you as that will be more fees to pay to get someone else in. cant hurt to contact them.

I ride a Wilier. So far as I know, they never made an all Ti frame. Ti lugs on carbon, yes. All Ti - no. Never seen one, never heard of one.

Nay, it was missing from the tenancy agreement. Just a big ol' blank space.

Out of interest, a landlord is obliged by law to maintain a property: unblock drains, repaint walls, etc.
But what If they demonstrably don't do that? They are in breach of contract which allows the tenants to leave the property before the end of the contract. But is that it? What if the tenants don't want to move out?

You can get an Order from the Court that they perform their obligations.

Your local council website will have a load of information on tennants rights and the correct methods to seek compensation.
Don't do anything rash, this will only cause more problems. Been there. -

Ooh, that sounds interesting! Where can I go for more information about this? I'm pretty clueless about this sort of thing.
Citizen's advice bureau?
