• Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

    ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL

Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:

for details of what is available.

Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**

Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

    RON COOPER ROAD FRAME c1980
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.25in (54cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: sprints/700C with a brake drop of 48mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Ron Cooper is one of the giants of British framebuilding ranking alongside Chas Roberts, Bill Hurlow, George Longstaff, Dave Yates and Stan Pike. This really lovely frame from around 1980 is beautifully detailed and built. Just take a look at the clean lug shorelines which are impeccably brazed... The frame is very sound with no dents or dings I could find but could do with a quality repaint - the price allows for that. It could easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £165

    PETE MATTHEWS ROAD FRAME c1992
    Seat Tube (ctt): 62cm (24.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 48mm
Frame tubing: Columbus SL main tubes
Pete Matthews is best known for his hand built wheels but he also offered a range of quality frames. This large frame is built from Columbus SL main tubes and probably dates from the early 1990s - its very nicely made and the paint though having some marks is in very useable condition. It could easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £95

    CARLTON FLYER TRACK FRAME
    Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 57mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
The Carlton Flyer model was first introduced in 1938 - this example dates from around 1955. The lug design remained pretty much identical over this period and te seat lug with its cutaway top is a very distinctive feature. This frame is in very sound condition and will be quite stunning once renovated. Angles are quite steep with a short offset fork despite having clearances for mudguards. The Flyer model was always considered to be Carlton’s top model despite there being models with fancier lugs. £165

    VIKING SEVERN VALLEY ROAD FRAME
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22,5in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 60mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Viking were a very old established bike company but it was not until after WWII that they started to devote their energy to quality lightweight road bikes. The Severn Valley was their top model and was introduced in the late 50s - it was the same as used by their semi-professional team which had quite a number of successes including the Tour of Britain and the Peace Race. This frame thought to be from the early 1960s is in very sound original condition - the paint is very good though it has some touch-ups and marks. It would be very
suitable for conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £95

GAZELLE CHAMPION MONDIAL ROAD FRAME c1993
    Seat Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 45mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This Gazelle road frame I think dates from c1993. Its been very beatifully repainted in pearl white which only has a few marks. It could easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £165

    PRESTIGE ROAD FRAME
    Seat Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 50mm
    Seatpost size: 25.8mm
This frame I thinkm was built in Belgium and has forged dropouts - but it is not a top quality frame by any means. It will make an ideal beater or budget conversion. The long horizontal dropouts will make it ideal for conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £39

ITALIAN ROAD FRAME c1980 ** NEW AND UNUSED**
    Seat Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 55mm)
    Frame tubing: Columbus SL
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a really beautifully made New Old Stock Italian road frame from c1980. The head and seat lugs are beautifully pantographed with symbol of a rider on a bike – this image is also panto’d into the fork crown and seatstay bridge. The forks are fully chromed and the rear triangle is partly chromed. All the chrome is perfect. The standard of workmanship is excellent. I can arrange painting and can prep the the frame for BB and headset fitment. This is an excellent opportunity to get a frame painted exactly how you want it. This frame slightly different from the other one I sold in November. £145

CARLTON ROAD FRAME 1983 Reynolds 531
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 60mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This Carlton road frame dates from 1983 and is I think the Carlton equivalent of the Raleigh RRA frame. Its in very sound condition and would make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. £85

    RALEIGH R100 ROAD FRAME 1990s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C with brake drop of 45mm
    Seatpost size: 26.2mm
    Frame tubing: Chrome-mo steel
This Raleigh road frame dates from the late 1990s is in very good condition and will make an excellent budget geared road bike - the vertical dropouts mean its not ideal for a conversion. £59

    TOMACC ROAD FRAME
    Seat Tube (ctc): 23.25in (59cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22.5in (57cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
    Seatpost size: 25.8mm
Wheel size: 700C with brake drop of 49mm
This Tomacc road frame from Belgium is I think unused though a rear wheel has definitely been mounted in the dropouts. Its in very nice condition - the paint has a small number of marks but they are not too obvious. It can easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £95
