good work MDCC. You're a gentleman and a scholar. not sure about the Ibis part though. Pretty sure Spooky did that first. i dunno.
edit: looks like an Ibis trademark. hmmm http://www.competitivecyclist.com/whats-new/ibis-altitude-and-a-little-hard-work.325.html

93/94 would be the time I first saw it as I was reading MTB magazines, albeit not going anywhere near riding off road.

...and then there's this, which I'm undecided about.
http://www.2011.handmadebicycleshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/HPIM3694.jpg (ok, the pic is a little big)
There are some nice details, and the parts are high-end (Rohloff, S&S, etc.), but it all just seems a bit much and a bit pointless, and not really what I'd call a "touring bike".
ps does anyone else read ROFLOL when they see the word Rohloff?
That's a horrible thing. All that expense and effort, and it's.....awful.

The 'correct' rims would have been something like Mavic Argent 10 or Super Champion Arc-en-ciel for tubulars. To provide a closer visual match to the original spec while using clinchers for convenience, it should probably have silver Open Pro or similar.
I actually have some tubulars for it that came off an untouched 1977 Tom Bromwich track bike, still with the Green lane cycles ( cov ) sticker on them... but like i said - I ride it to work everyday so the DP18s will do for now.
