• It's faulty, send it back. Legally they should pay for the return postage, being dabs I can't see that being a problem though.

    If it's failing a format isn't going to sort it out. Just tell them it's faulty as the SMART status is failing.

    Thanks Fox. I only discovered this SMART status thing the other day. I bought this disk to replace 2 old ones that were 'Failing'

    Dabs list in their terms that I would have to pay for a faulty return I think. What I can remember of consumer law states they should pay.

    Here we go, another consumer battle...
