Did your bike get stolen last night? (found charge mixer)

Hey guys,

I bought bike last night in Dalston from pikey, it's charge mixer. He was selling it for 60 quid and it's obviously stolen. I bought it in hope it can find it's owner again.

I'm not asking for any reward or anything but you'd obviously have to pay me those 60 pounds back and give me a good description of said bike.

its not about getting my 60 quid back really. i dont want to keep the bike because obviously that way i would be supporting the bike theft. and its bad karma, of course.

If its been bought from a cyclesurgery or an evans then they will definetly have a record of the frame number against the owners details.

Now whilst I appreciate what you're trying to do but surely by virtue of the fact you payed the bloke £60, you've already supported the theft. He now no longer has the stolen bike and couldn't give a fuck what you do with it while you on the other hand are currently fencing a stolen bike/handling stolen goods.

Surely if someone has had their bike stolen they are going to inform the police. Might be worth informing them, whilst not getting yourself convicted for handling stolen goods.

Given that she has knowingly handled stolen goods, decided not to tell the Police anyway, despite knowing the bike was stolen, and lined the thief's pockets with £60, I doubt the Police will be that impressed.

I didnt decided not to tell police - where did you get that from? Did i mention that? i dont think so. i'm doing all i can...i posted this call here, on facebook, gumtree and i'm going to contact bike retailers, theft force and when i have time i'll pop in to police as well altho im not from dalston so depending if i have my way there.
since its only happened last night and ive been busy all day i really cant devote myself to this search. just thought you guys might help instead of just getting rowdy with me.
