I totally agree with this way of doing, it, but I think 6 weeks is probably too short, on the basis that some people are struggling to play 2 games in 4 weeks, so 5 in 6 weeks is probably asking too much. Maybe 8 weeks?

You want it to be like this? Okay. There is a long tradition to this issue, you know it, and you are acting like a total fucking cock about it.

As to the issue of advantage, you are acting as if because your team is having problems, that you should get special treatment. In fact, you have a major advantage in that you selectively bring in vigilantes (Em for Zombie, Iain for Degeneration) who have absolutely no skin in the game. No pressure, no stress. This gives you a major advantage.

You can protest all day long about how your other players were supposedly the best ones in the league, and therefore you are permanently disadvantaged, but that is bullshit, there are a lot of excellent players in London, not just Dave and Aidan. Which is why BAD has been beaten by at least two LDN teams in every single major tourney over the last year.

You getting to selectively pick two players for every single game, players which have nothing riding on the game, is an advantage. Under no circumstances should the stable teams be at a systematic disadvantage to a team that is having to field subs, for whatever reason.

I propose a game issued every week and a two period to play them in. I think people are taking too long to get there fixtures done. If people are away they can apply for an extension with the committee with there reasons. Double headers can get games done quicker and all fixtures could be released at once for organisational purposes.

Matt, genuine question here, but what is wrong with B picking Em, Emmet and Iain to sub for BAD??
in the league rules says that "All Subs must be non-league players", and neither of them is in the league...
I have always though that proper teams will be superior to teams with subs.

Dude, calm down... I just feel bad for B, the guy's trying to play the league single-handed... And regarding my commitment to polo, I try to play when I can... I wish I had the time/head space to be able to devote more of my free time to it, unfortunately I have other stuff in my life that takes precedence... Life's a bitch, when you grow up you'll find out... :P x

One of my team-mates wouldn't play in the league, so the whole team was forced to withdraw. Jono is now happy with his team, and I'm happy subbing in. You don't HAVE to play just because your name was on a list.

The league is not a tourney so different players can sub in with B for different fixtures. I don't think it really matters, it is about playing polo at the end of the day win loose or draw. The league for me is a great way to get some competitve games in over these chilly months before the tourneys.
