Hilary - did my message re. the Orbit America come through OK? No sign of it in my "Sent Items" folder but definitely interested in the frame if unsold. Otherwise, do you have something of pretty much identical price, spec, condition and size. Frame without fork would be better still as I have a Time carbon one awaiting a frame to fit it to.
Many thanks,

did the dawes galaxy sell?
Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL
Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html
for details of what is available.
Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**
Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

CLAUD BUTLER No23 INTERNATIONAL PATH TRACK FRAME 1949
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in), (centre to top of top tube) 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 48mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a stunningly gorgeous Claud Butler lugless track frame dating from 1949. This was built as a pure track frame – not a road/track – there are no mudguard eyes and the clearances are tight, the rear brake bridge has never been drilled. There is a little very light pitting in places but nothing that won’t be easily filled when the frame is painted. This will be one dramatic frame once refinished properly. £195
NONAME TRACK FRAME c1980s
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This is really nice track frame from I think the 1980s judging by the components. It has Suntour track rear dropouts for a 10mm axle (standard track rear) spaced at 110mm - this is really unusual and generally only found on Keirin track frames of this period. I can get the rear ends respaced at the standard 120mm if required. It is not drilled for a brake at the front or rear - it would be very easy to have the front fork drilled if necessary. This is clearly a pure close clearance track frame. £225
M STEEL ROAD FRAME c1990
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 50mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
This M Steel frame (it had M Steel decals and is numbered MS107) dates from about 1990 and was built at the time when Dave Yates ran the framebuilding shop for Steels. It had a stuck seatpost which has been successfully removed. The frame is in very sound condition and would make a great Audax frame - it has close clearances for guards with tyres up to 25mm but with horizontal dropouts it will make a very easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £85
ORBIT AMERICA ROAD FRAME c1990
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 45mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
This Orbit America dates I think from the late 1980s and is in very good condition - the paint has some marks but nothing too obtrusive. It will make a very easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £95
HOLDSWORTH PROFESSIONAL ROAD FRAME c1990
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 45mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
This is one of the last Holdsworth Professional frames built from probably 1990 - its in very good condition and with horizontal dropouts will make a very easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £95
GRAHAM WEIGH ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 48mm
Seatpost size: 26.8mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This Graham Weigh road frame is in very sound condition albeit with slightly tatty paint and is built from Reynolds 531 tubing. However it would make an excellent fixed or singlespeed conversion. £85
DAWES GALAXY TOURING FRAME
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 60mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This older Dawes Galaxy frame from around 1980 is in very sound condition but the paint is somewhat worn and retouched. The Dawes Galaxy was one of the first production frames in the UK and was looked upon as offering a really good loaded ride. It could easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £49
CARRERA ROAD FRAME 1990s Reynolds 501
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 46mm)
Frame tubing: Reynolds 501
Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This Carrerra road frame from the early 1990s is in superb condition - there are just a few small marks to the paint and decals.. It would make a cool fixed or singlespeed conversion. £85
DAWES ROAD FRAME 1970s/80s
Seat Tube (ctt): 59cm (23.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with brake drop of 65mm
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531
This Dawes road frame from the late 1970s/early 1980s is in very nice condition and will make a great budget conversion. £65
PEUGEOT 531 TRIATHLON ROAD FRAME c1989
Seat Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 50mm
This Peugeot Triathlon road frame built from Reynolds 531 tubing is in very good sound condition. It will make an ideal winter or trainer bike with gears - the vertical dropouts make it unsuitable for use as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £79
