Is it essentially pumping glue into your tyres/innertube? If so, it doesn't sound great; it'd add weight & probably mess up your valve (bear in mind I have no practical experience so could be talking shit).
What tyres do you use now? Maybe try different puncture resistant ones on your training wheels & hope that your luck turns?

Though if it's your training bike surely a bit more rotational mass will be a welcome change.

I am not a Robert grin I agree with your thoughts...
Thats why 'I was specifically after comments on people who have used the stuff.
I am fat enough, and always have a 6pack... (beer) in my back pockets don't want to dehydrate now do we ?

I've used Slime on commuters and training bikes for years, and have it in my motorbike tyres. Makes no difference whatsoever to ride and handling and works.
People talk a lot of total cack about it; it's good and works. If you have it in road tyres, you will get a bit of pressure drop - 20-30 lbs or so if you are starting at 100psi or more before it stops the leak, but you can live with that, and pump it up again.

@bigtwin
How thick is it once it's been in for a while - does it cause any problems when you go to deflate the innertube (ie clogging), say if you needed to put a new tyre on?

I've got one in my front wheel at the moment. Not had a puncture on it yet so don't know if it's any good.

Slime is good stuff, put it in and forget about it, then a year later wonder what all the green shit is on your frame and spend the next few days cleaning the green stuff off only for it to re-appear. It does make punctures and where in the tyre to check for glass etc easier to spot.
Just need to remember to have the valve at the top of the rotation if you need to deflate, some will come out but not enough to cause problems.
I Don't do training though and i'm a fat bastard so no idea about the weight difference of it etc. -

Nope. Just position the valve at 8 or 4 o'clock when you let the air out and that's it done.

i had been thinking of using stans no tubes fluid instead of slime
any experience with this?

i just put stans on my mtb, no punctures as of yet, but will be lighter than slimed tubes, and as you can run lower pressures, grippier...

At £55 a pop, it'd better be bloody good.

Where did you see that big twin..?
My understanding is that there are various grades. I am trying to find some cycle specific.
Looks like i'll be the test-pilot then.
After a couple of punctures training recently...
Anyone used Puncturesafe ?
Thoughts please. Sounds great, almost too good.
So going on the basis it if is sounds too good to be true...????
