• it was circa 1971 and precisely fuck all wrong with the angles and to be very very precise those who say otherwise do talk shite.

I won the Paddington Track Open Bass Charrington 20km on that exact model in 1971, as well as many other events too and serously challenged Brendan McEwen many times at Welwyn . T

The frame was perfect for Calshot as was ie the Skol 6 track bought and taken down to Calshot, a new track replaces it.

They weren't Campag ends, only copies, but did the job. The chrome on mine was crap, was rechromed and was worse again. Mine was sold to Dick Hooper - works in Phil Corley Cyles in MK

Steeper angles would be 74 parallel which really only were for 6 day tracks or twiddling in time trials with low gears as you lose "grunt" with being too far forward and unable to push big gears.

I'll toddle off and gaze at my 25 mile Junior Champion Hillingdon CC jersey and Senior trophy now...oh and club Track Champion too- all a very, very long time ago, but you never forget......and good bike frame geometry doesn't either
