As you've seen, my straps are parallel width, so if you want a tapered strap I'm afraid I can't help.

I think it looks better in the bag. Pretty hideous if you ask me

  • LUST!

    Part of 'The Dirty Dozen'

Ive had the watch 25 years or so and was given to me from my father

    Wanker...

  • Has anyone got a little watch they'd sell me?

Small(ish) round face, polished case, classic looking, simpler the better...

  • ill put some pics up tomorrow

  • Quite liking the shape of the case of this supercheap Lorus...

...but obvioulsy the face is ming. Could such a thing be easily modded?

  • Just buy another watch

  • Could do, but my budget is <£20.

  • You can have my IWC for £19

  • What, a photo of it? The box? You'll tell me the time?

  • james purdey / panerai

  • Bit OTT, but a nice watch indeed.

  • ^^ do not want!

  • It'd be nicer without the silly flappy bit.

  • james purdey are famous for their shotguns and hunting equipment so this follows in the tradition of the full hunter pocket watch with the detail that you would normally find on the guns transfered to the case.

  • The gun is lovely, but the watch is gaudy and tacky.

Purdey are supposed to be classy. If they must put some crap picture of an eagle on it, do it inside the flap and have the outside plain.

  • Does this mean the army should have pictures of people from the middle east on their guns?

  • Good question
The USAF used to paint pictures of pin-up girls on their planes. I never thought it was because that's who they bombed, but now I'm not so sure.

  • Can anyone ID this?

Writing's too small for me to read :(

  • Junghans Max Bill chronograph

    +1

I don't like the flap either, but it's supposed to be a hunter watch.
