eBay and Craigslist finds

i'm considering buying this (have had a low-ball offer accepted) but not sure on the sizing.. it's listed as a 62cm seatpost but doesn't look nearly as gate-like as a lot of bikes that big.. What do people think? Have they just measured it wrong?
